A convector is a heating body that transfers heat almost entirely through agitated air.
Generally, it consists of:
- a trough or a casing
- an exchanger (that transfers the heat to the agitated air)
- .in some cases of a fanCold air drawn from a room flows through a heated exchanger, warms up and either rises naturally or is force blown by a fan back to the space – a principle of heat transfer called convection. The heat released by the entire length of the convector creates an invisible thermal barrier that divides the interior space from the cold surface area of a window.
